Increase your writing efficiency by integrating Antidote’s tools into Microsoft Word. You will be able to open the dictionaries and guides directly from your word processing software, and most importantly, any changes you make in the corrector will be applied automatically to the original document. This integration will make revision much easier!

Adding the Antidote Connector to Word

For Antidote and Word to work together, you need to add a connector. To do so, follow these steps.

  1. Go to the Home tab.
  2. Click the Add-ins icon .
  3. Enter Antidote in the search bar.
  4. Click the Add button next to the Antidote Connector.

Once you have added the connector, an Antidote tab will be permanently added to the Word ribbon. Click the tab to access Antidote’s three tools: the corrector, the dictionaries and the guides. To learn more about how to use it, read our article on how to run Antidote in Word.

One Connector for Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote

Microsoft has standardized the technology used for application add-ins. There is now a single Antidote Connector for both desktop and web versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote. Follow the same four steps to add the connector, whether on Windows or on Mac.

If these apps have been synchronized with your Microsoft account, the connector may have already been added. Otherwise, you will need to add it to each app. Once added, the Antidote tab will always appear in the ribbon of your apps.

What About Other Software?

Antidote provides a utility software called Connectix to manage the connectors for all software applications compatible with Antidote. Open Connectix to see what apps let you benefit from a streamlined integration that saves you from having to copy-paste your text. Discover more about this utility in our article Connectix: Antidote’s Inseparable Companion.
