Slow and disabled COM Add-in in Outlook - Antidote connector disabled on opening Outlook

ANTIDOTE 12 (11, 10 et 9)

The Antidote COM Add-in in Outlook is deactivated on opening the app.

This situation stems from Outlook. Please note:

  • The Antidote connector in Outlook is heavier than most, it is therefore expected that certain slower computers would show this message. The connector loads slower than what is anticipated by Outlook.
  • The message therefore does not indicate an actual issue, do not worry.
  • Only some computers will show this message.

When opening Outlook, you should be given the opportunity to always authorize the enabling of this add-in. You can also follow this procedure directly in Outlook:

  1. Select File > Info, to see the Account Information window.
  2. Select Slow and disabled Add-ins.
  3. In the window that opens find the Antidote connector.
  4. Select Options under the Antidote connector.
  5. Select that you wish to always authorize this Add-in.

Please note that you might be asked to reauthorize this setting every 30 days. This is how Outlook works. Some versions of Outlook might display these options in a different way.
